Have you Heard? There is a new things going on with The Georgia Songbirds. I am in the process of starting Songbird Radio. It will be an online radio station playing all sorts of music, mainly singer-songwriter and songs that I feel need more airplay. If you have sent songs for the countdown I will automatically add them to rotation. I still will be doing interviews, album reviews, and the countdown none of that changes. There is however a new segment that will start called Have You Heard? Myself and Jordan my bassist from Yes M.A.M. will sit down and listen to songs and tell stories. You never know what you will hear we don't even know. This episode you hear Rock, Singer-Songwriter's, a 80's cover band, Old fashioned country and more. There is an episode released today it's kind of a practice run so it will only get better. This will be the best chance to interact with you guys as well. You can request or recommend songs and we'll get to them as soon as we can. We may even have special guests too. This 1st episode is kind of a trial run so there are a few mistakes and things we can improve on. Overall I like the format though. When the radio station goes live we will try and do the episodes live on the air and take phone calls as well. You will be able to request songs and for the Have You Heard segment the idea is to have a phone line open so you can call in or if you prefer just send in a request through the website. I'm very excited about the new things being offered and my goal is to make The Georgia Songbirds into a driving force for Independent songwriters and also a brand that reaches all across the world.
