Trailer Hippies

Sometimes when the conditions are just right groovy magic happens. It was just this kind of magical chemistry that began brewing in the winter of 2011, when Tommy & Silvia Davis first met at an open mic in Chattanooga, TN. Silvia, a homegrown singer/songwriter from Michigan quickly caught the attention of Tommy Davis a local N. Georgia award winning singer/songwriter originally from the coal mining state of West Virginia. The two were instantly impressed by the others talent and style. Each recognizing the similarities between them. The draw was inevitable, and a friendship was naturally established.
The attraction between the two was undeniable and Tommy asked Silvia if she would be interested in getting together to work on some harmonies. She enthusiastically agreed and shortly thereafter their relationship evolved both musically and romantically. Blending their talents and their lives together they became the “Trailer Hippies”. Then in September of 2017 at Tommy’s family home in the beautiful hills of West Virginia the Trailer Hippies got hitched and currently reside in their trailer in the woods in Chatsworth, Georgia.
In 2019 Trailer Hippies released their first album, “Trailer Hippies for Life”, featuring 13 original songs and they are already working on their next album. They are enjoying the ride so far and their soulful, heartfelt music is gaining a rapid following captivating audiences of music lovers everywhere they go. Tommy Davis with his rugged Arlo Guthrie style and Silvia with her Emmy Lou like resonance have been described as magically harmonious with a deep soulful sound. They are grateful to be traveling the countryside sharing their music from across North Georgia, South East Tennessee, North Carolina to West Virginia and even Michigan and they plan to continue their musical journey together as long as life allows.
Groovy Magic is the vibe that is evoked whenever the Trailer Hippies are in the house. Tommy and Silvia Davis are a husband and wife live acoustic music act. These two North Georgia singer/songwriters are keeping it real with their mountain/folk/homespun sound. They have joined their talents to create a unique harmonious blend of original music as well as covers by artists such as John Prine, Johnny Cash, Gillian Welsh, Patsy Cline and other greats. From their hearts to yours “It’s all about love, life and liberty” and feel good music.

Heather Ragnars

Heather Ragnars is a singer-songwriter, composer and performer based in Montreal, Canada. Her first EP, Bench Warmer, came out in November 2018. The album can be described as a mix of folk and retro R’n’B with clear influences from the 50’s, 60’s and strong female vocalists like Amy Winehouse, Adele and Beth Gibbons of Portishead. Heather has twice been voted as one of the Top Ten Singer-songwriters in Montreal by the magazine Cult MTL. She has played shows in Canada, the United States, West Africa and Iceland. Recent performances include the Melodica Reykjavik festival and performances at the Wiggle Room, where she shares the stage with Montreal's finest burlesque artists.

Born in Iceland and raised in the United States and Canada, Heather was raised in a musical family. She was exposed to various types of music throughout her childhood including traditional choir music, opera, musical theatre, pop and rock’n’roll. She started taking piano lessons at a young age and soon began taking classical voice lessons in the hopes of one day performing on Broadway. When she discovered songwriting, she knew she had found her calling: her songs are heartbreaking, yet barefaced accounts of the many things we think but don't say.

While perhaps most known for her regular gigs at the Wiggle Room in Montreal, Heather has performed at various festivals and venues throughout the years including Le phare des mamelles in Senegal, Smitefest in the U.S.A. and The St-Ambroise Montréal Fringe Festival in Canada. She maintains strong ties to her homeland of Iceland most recently performing at the Melodica Reykjavik festival in August of 2019. Heather has written two psalms for the Women’s Church of Iceland, one of which appeared on a compilation CD and book by the same name published by Kirkefondet in 2019 (Himlen og Jorden må feste - salmer og sange fra hele verden).

In the spring of 2019, Heather took a 15-week masterclass in film composition under the guidance of Mehdat Hanbali. She is currently studying Composition in the Music Department at Concordia University where she also studies Jazz Voice.

Mike Casto

Mike is a dedicated singer and songwriter who is focused on traditional country music. Born and raised in small town, southern Ohio, USA, Mike cut his teeth on country music. The emotion and truthfulness of each country song he was raised listening to, carried into his adult life.

Mike has now dedicated himself to keeping that traditional country music sound alive. Doing his part to ensure future generations get to experience the heartbreak or happiness a true country song can bring.

Roy Saunders

Roy Saunders is a Southern musician who blends the sounds of country, southern rock and blues. Certain obvious influences stand out including The Highwaymen, Cody Jinx, and Blackberry Smoke. Add in a little family style flavor of The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd and you’ve got a distinctly original southern sound.

Born in the mountains of North Georgia, his musical heritage goes back to North Florida with his grandfather, a professional popular pianist and Musician's Union president, and father, a touring guitarist and recording artist.

Self taught, Roy formed the Atlanta based band 11th Night in 2012 with his brother, Ryan. He then moved to Savannah where he co-founded the Garth Brooks style duo "Escaping Fate," with low country legend and musical mainstay, Jay Morelock.

While in Savannah, Roy opened for, Ian McLagan, international touring artist Hannah Wicklund and the Steppin Stones, People's Blues of Richmond, Zack Myers of Shinedown fame, and Austin Webb.

Now based in Atlanta, Roy played 150 shows in five states in the past year alone. He also released his swampy original single ‘Stranger’ on streaming platforms with an EP to follow in 2020.

Roy has built a full band featuring guitarist Jay Morelock on guitar, his father Steven Saunders on bass and seasoned percussionist Tom Dickenson. The group recently performed at Shezmu Cellars in Marietta, GA to promote the single ‘Stranger.’

2020 sees Roy booking at new venues, working on more recordings and scheduling a pending southeastern U.S. fall tour. The best is yet to come for this rising country music outlaw.

Jason Von Stein

My name is Jason Von Stein. My father, Jim Von Stein, is a songwriter and in his life he has written well over 5000 songs.
He writes because he loves to tell stories and my goal is to let the world hear them.

Besides performing with my father’s songs, I am an actor. Best known for my role alongside Greta Gerwig in the short film Quick Feet Soft Hands. Followed by roles in MacGyver, Heavens Fall, and Drop Dead Diva. My latest big co-starring role was against Logan Marshall Green in the pilot of the Cinemax series Quarry. By that time my father was suddenly diagnosed with emphysema, which made him unable to continue to play his music. This caused me to shift focus from my acting career, to start touring the US performing with my father's vast amount of songs, since my father could not
